Join us on a journey into the world of contemporary mime!

In this playful and accessible performance, Anna Kukuczková and Vojtěch Svoboda introduce audiences to the principles, techniques and different styles of mime and nonverbal theatre. Forget the striped shirt, white face and gloves – this is mime in a contemporary form, full of imagination, humour and physical expression.

Over 45 minutes, a series of short mime études brings different approaches and styles to life. The performers not only demonstrate the techniques, but also share insights into what they are doing, respond to questions from the audience and, if desired, conclude with a short workshop where the audience can try mime for themselves.

By focusing on modern mime, which draws on its historical roots while breaking down the established clichés of white-faced mime clowns, they are unique.
